Nova Instruments Acquires Stresstech Oy

Nova Instruments LLC is pleased to announce the acquisition of Stresstech Oy, a Finland based company, with subsidiaries in the United States, Germany, and India.

Stresstech is the market leader in residual stress measurement solutions, from handheld sensors to robotic inspection systems. Its Barkhausen Noise equipment is commonly used to optimize and control grinding and heat treatment processes of ferromagnetic components such as camshafts, crankshafts, bearings, valves, and landing gear units.  Stresstech’s X-ray diffraction based analyzers and goniometers are capable of determining retained austenite content and furthering the range of inspection applications into ceramics.  And, the third residual stress measurement technique supplied by Stresstech is based on hole-drilling by Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI) technology which can be applied to a vast range of materials including titanium and plastics.

EC M&A acted as exclusive financial advisor to Nova on this transaction.
