Leatherman has agreed to sell Ledlenser to Afinum

Leatherman Tool Group, Inc. (“Leatherman”) has signed a definitive agreement to sell Ledlenser GmbH & Co. KG (“Ledlenser”) to AFINUM Management GmbH, a German private equity investor, for an undisclosed consideration. Closing is scheduled to take place by the first week of December 2018.

Ledlenser, based in Solingen, Germany, is the premier global designer and manufacturer of highly innovative, award-winning LED flashlights and headlamps for professional, sport, outdoor and everyday applications. The Company is an industry pioneer with more than 300 patents and awards for design and engineering excellence. Ledlenser is the #1 portable lighting brand in numerous countries throughout Europe, Asia and Oceania and has sold over 50 million products since its founding in 1994.

Founded in 1983 and based in Portland, Oregon, Leatherman is the world’s largest manufacturer of tools that prepare people for both expected and unexpected challenges, journeys and adventures.
